THREADS

This project was delivered at the Highfields Community Centre. I was asked to facilitate a series of sessions, focussing on ethical issues within the fashion and textiles industry. Students highlighted issues on garment production in developing countries and worked with professional designers to design new items of clothing, from recycled material. The project culminated in a play at the Highfields Centre, Leicester. Students wore their creations, informing their audience about garment production issues and exploitation in the developing world.
